I cannot tell you how excited I am to be writing this review. I do not own much jewelry, mainly because I do not spend a lot of money on splurges for myself such as jewelry. I purchase things I need, not so much things I want. So when I found out I was going to be doing a review for The Vintage Pearl I was beyond excited!
After browsing through the shop at The Vintage Pearl I finally selected the Dainty Drop Necklace, let me just say it was a hard choice. I also loved the Faith, Mercy, Grace Necklace. I eagerly awaited my necklace knowing that custom items take much longer then off the shelf items. I received my item in one week which is a very reasonable time frame.

My package arrived this past Saturday in a bubble padded envelope within a USPS envelope. When I opened the small envelope this is the cute little package that awaited me inside. I love the presentation showing a personal touch with the little mesh bag. Also included in the bag is a jewelry polish pad to keep your necklace sparkling at all times. I opened the bag and inspected the necklace and was surprised how light weight it was. Not a heavy feeling, I do not like to wear a necklace that is heavy and reminds me all day I have something around my neck.

The jewelry at The Vintage Pearl is made out of the finest materials. The necklace and charms are made from sterling silver and each one is engraved with a name up to 12 letters long. A beautiful swarovski birthstone crystal hangs with each charm. Here is a photo of my necklace, charms: Christopher (August), Nicholas (April), and Ericka (November). Isn’t it beautiful? My daughter loved the necklace but wanted to know why she couldn’t have the green stone. I couldn’t get her to quite understand the meaning of a birth stone.

After inspecting the necklace and taking a few photos I had to try it on and see how it looked. As I mentioned before it is light weight and it sits nicely around your neck. The chain I choose was 18″ long however you can choose from 16″, 20″, and 24″. As you can see the 18″ is the perfect length on me. The charms are just big enough to be elegant without being over powering. I wore this to work on Monday and received several compliments. When they looked a little closer they saw that it had the names of my children and were even more impressed and asked where I got it.

My experience with The Vintage Pearl was a very positive one from beginning to end. What I love about this site and company is the personal vibe you get when speaking with them. The Vintage Pearl began in 2007 and gave a mother the chance to stay home to raise her children. Who knew it would blossom into the business it has become. You can find out more about The Vintage Pearl, its owner, and their new store opening on their blog. In addition to the Dainty Drops Necklace a new product was just released this very week. You can now purchase a Dainty Drop Bracelet to match your Dainty Drop Necklace. I see an order being placed in the near future.
************GIVEAWAY CLOSED***********
Disclaimer: This is my own honest opinion. I received the item listed above to review. A HUGE thank you to The Vintage Pearl for sending the necklace for me to review as well as providing a $50 gift certificate for my awesome readers. You may read more disclosure details here.
