While browsing for gifts for family and friends I came across a beautiful photo blanket from Photoweavers. I was intrigued and hopped on over to learn a little more. I’m a 100% photo girl, if I can personalize something with a photo of my family I love it. My mouse pad at work is one of Nick’s baseball photos. I have purchased stationary, coffee cups, shirts all with photos of my munchkins.

So you can probably imagine how excited I was to get a chance to review my own photo blanket. I didn’t even know such a thing existed! The process of ordering was very simple and easy. The first thing I did was chose what method I wanted to use to create my blanket.

SUPER SIMPLE METHOD
Our Super Simple Method does not include border options, text, or design elements but it is fast and easy. If you want your photograph to be just a rendering of the photo, this is the method for you. Please click this circle for the Super Simple Method.

CUSTOMIZABLE METHOD
You can take full advantage of the format options, borders, text options and all design elements. This method allows you to customize a one of a kind photo product that reflects your personal style. Please click this circle for the Customizable Method.

I decided to go with full blown customizing so I knew all my options. You then can chose between different formats depending on what you want: Standard, Life’s Moment, and Portrait Format.

I went with the Standard Format so I could chose all my own options. You then have the option to upload your photos, you can upload as many as you want to be able to play around with what photos you want to use. The great thing is it instantly tells you if your photo is of a good enough quality to use in your blanket creation. I was very glad because there were a few photos I uploaded that turned out to be of a low resolution.

You then have the option of choosing a layout between 1-4 photos, as well as rotating between portrait and landscape. You also have an option of making one of the boxes a solid color. For example maybe you choose the one with 2 photos but use one box for the photo and a second as a solid color with a poem or wedding vows.

Once you have your photos chosen you now have the option to edit. You can rotate them or pan in, out, left, or right. This was GREAT, because one of my photos my son was somewhat over to the left. I was able to zoom in and move the photo to the right to center him. If you chose the 1 photo layout you have the option of choosing a border to put around your photo. Here’s a few examples I played with just to give you an idea.

In addition to all these creative options, you can add text and pre-designed elements to your blanket. All in all this is a very creative process and you have many options to make your blanket as personal as you would like. I would LOVE to order a few more for family members. I will admit though I selfishly made my own blanket for the purpose of this review and can not say enough how much I love it. I never pay attention to the size of things like this when I purchase them so I was shocked at how big it was. Here is a photo of my absolutely stunning blanket. My 6′ 1″ hubby is holding it up for me so you can only imagine how big it is.

I couldn’t find a family photo that both hubby and I were happy with. This year he was not happy with how he looked and last year I was not happy with how I looked. I figured we both needed to be happy with the photo since this is going to live in our living room for all to see. So I decided to represent each of us with a photo I felt best showed off our personality and beauty, and of course our Shibley Smiles. Isn’t it just beautiful?

The production and shipping time from placing my order to receiving it was amazing. You would expect something like this to take weeks to create and ship but mine only took days. I was surprised when I came home tonight and my mother in law said you have a package. I can not say enough how much I love my photo blanket. The quality is great, it is not a thin it is heavy and just right. The ease of ordering, and the quickness in shipping made me experience worth telling all. This is an A+ company that delivers a high quality product!

The blanket pictured her usually retails for $119, however until 12/14 you can use the code TELLAFRIEND and receive 35% off bringing the total to $77.35. In addition to woven blankets Photoweavers also sells Woven Photo tote bags, purses, pillows, and wall hangings. I definitely have my eye on that photo purse.
