Wet Ones Healthy Hands Zone and Wet Ones Prize Pack Giveaway

As a mother Wet Ones are daily part of life wouldn’t you agree? In fact many mom’s carry them in their purse, car, and you can find them stashed throughout the house. I’m happy to be working with such a well known brand. Have you heard of the Wet Ones Healthy Hands Zone?

Wet Ones has created an fun an informational website that with the help of Bill Nye, The Science Guy, teaches your children about germs and how to stop the spread of them. With three children myself germs usually work their way through the whole family when just one of the children come home with a cold. Of course what is the NUMBER ONE way to combat germs? Washing your hands, something that kids often find an inconvenience and precious time taken away from game playing. Wet Ones are a perfect solution and a way to help kids become germ free.

Honey and I were able to participate in some of the interesting experiments so that I could spend a little time teaching her about germs, what they were, and how they spread. Truthfully she probably knew more then I do because her grandmother is what I have labeled a “germaphobic” she goes through a TON of Wet Ones, however at the same time she has took my daughter some valuable information.

One of the experiments we did showed how Germs can be transferred to one person to the other. For this experiment we simply used glitter. My daughter was excited to be allowed to sprinkle glitter into her hand. Once she was done she was to shake my hand and see how the glitter spread to me.

After this experiment we moved on to the second which was to show Honey how germs multiple and how fast they can multiply. For this experiment we used a piece of paper, pencil, and an ink pad. We started with one dot and the multiplied to two in the next square, then multiplied to four in the next and so on.

Our third and final experiment did not product conclusive results. The experiment was to take six aluminum cupcake foils and fill them with a mixture that would help grow bacteria. You were then to touch each gel type mixture after doing certain things such as sneezing into your hand, touching a door knob, and the final one was after using wet ones to wipe the germs from your hands. Unfortunately each foil ended up with a ton of bacteria.

However Honey did get a chance to experience how germs worked and enjoyed the experiments.
