When my husband and I were close to closing on our new home we started visualizing where we would put our furniture. There was no doubt my new office space would be right in front of the windows where I could enjoy the beautiful outside view yet still be in the same room with my husband when he is watching TV. However I decided as much as I loved my current desk I really needed a more functional desk. I bigger working space and some drawers. We had picked out a desk from Sauder but before I could purchase it I was given an opportunity to review a piece of Sauder furniture of my choice.
I browsed Sauder.com and decided that I would still get a desk but I changed the style which afforded me the ability to purchase two pieces of Sauder furniture. I had no trouble ordering, only trouble narrowing down my selection LOL. My desk arrived and all I can say is it was NOT light! This is some sturdy wood. I had actually done some research about the desk and many reviews said it did take some time to put together so I warned my husband.
One weekend I was moving items from the old house to the new and came back in about an hour and my husband had half of the desk together. I guess he decided to ignore my information about the time to put it together LOL. He had a few hiccups (which he does putting most things together) but in no time at all he had it together. It is definitely a sturdy and beautiful desk.
I choose the beautiful desk pictured above from the Edge Water Collection. I think it looks beautiful in my new office setting what do you think?
I also purchased a small media storage tower from the Beginnings Collection. I have a few different ideas in mind and haven’t decided just yet what to do with it. The first step of course was putting it together. This time I let my husband rest and Honey and I put it together. She loves to help put things together!
It was actually very easy to put together and the only thing needed was a screwdriver and a hammer. Honey was so excited I let her help use the hammer to add the back of the media storage tower.
After one mishap, I guess even I can follow directions and get things wrong, our media storage tower was put together and ready to find out what its use is going to be. I still haven’t decided so it is awaiting its home. I will be sharing some of my ideas in an upcoming post on the functionality of the piece of furniture we selected.
