It is amazing to me that we are almost at the end of October. When your a child it seems to take forever for birthdays, christmas, and to get a year old. Then one day it is like they turned on the fast forward button and each year they go by faster, and faster, and faster.
It was a pretty normal week packed with work, sports, and chores. Nick’s soccer game was rained out Wednesday after they had them warm up for an hour in the pouring rain. Buddy had a make-up soccer game Thursday night and they won 3-2! It was a fun game to watch. Unfortunate on a not so great note he did not make the school soccer team once again this year. I think I was more heart broken then he was because I just knew for sure this year as an 8th grader he was going to make it. I wish I had the money to allow him to do travel soccer so he could get some good coaching on his skills, however the price just to join is about $850.
Nick did have a soccer game Saturday morning that didn’t go so well either. They lost 5-11, they definitely were not on their game. After the first strike out for Nick it seemed to go downhill from their as he had a hard time getting his mind back in the game. Hopefully for the team this Thursday game will go their way.
After the game hubby, Honey, and I helped my mom move once again. She just moved last year into a home that the owners decided this year NOT to re-rent which sucked because it was closer to us and Honey LOVES to visit her grandmother. It was a very tiring day. On a good note there however I ended up with new twin beds for the boys, a new kitchenette table and some bar stools all thanks to my mom. I was most excited about the beds because the boys have been complaining on how uncomfortable theirs have been.
While at the field Honey showed off her gymnastic skills. I was quite impressed because even though she has down somersaults in the past it is usually just one. This video not only makes me dizzy but it makes me giggle as well as I can just picture it in my head in fast forward mode!
Also this week I received in my “Daily Portrait“, I had originally thought $165 was a high price to pay for what I thought I was going to receive (mine was compliments of Milson Road for my review/giveaway). I could not believe the quality and how large it was when it arrived. It is absolutely beautiful and I totally love it. I took a photo of Honey standing next to it to try to give you an idea of how big it is.
What both my mother in law and I found the funniest is that the number one song on the day Honey was born was “Humps” by the Black Eyed Peas, and that happens to be her FAVORITE band. My almost 5 year old daughter has temporarily taken over my Zune player. We sat together and made a list of her favorite songs and she now carries it around with her everywhere. It amazes me that a young child can be so into music. Her play list consists of:
Single Ladies by Beyonce
Airplanes by B.o.B
Fergalicious by Fergie
Big Girls Don’t Cry by Fergie
The E.N.D. by the Black Eyed Peas
