A couple of weeks ago I committed to the Arm and Hammer Switch and Save Challenge by switching my old cleaners to use Arm & Hammer baking soda. The idea was instead of buying several different cleaners using one box of baking soda to clean my entire bathroom. So first the before photos…
I used my Arm and Hammer baking soda in a variety of ways.
Surface Cleaning: With a little bit of baking soda on a damp sponge I scrubbed my bath tub, counter tops, and sinks. I liked the fact that there is no smell left when I was done, instead by air freshener could easily freshen the room. I had no problems using it on my counter tops and sinks. For the tub if there is a ring or hard to remove dirt I prefer a tougher cleaner, however for every day or other day cleaning it is easy to keep in the bathroom and grab to clean after a bath.
Deodorizing Wastebasket: This ones pretty easy, simply sprinkle some Arm & Hammer in your trash can before you replace your bag and sprinkle as necessary when you throw out items. Keeps things smelly fresh, or at least not smelling bad, not sure how fresh trash can smell.
Deodorizing Drains: Pour 1/2 a cup down the drain while running warm tap water. The baking soda will neutralize both acid and basic odors.
Cleaning Bathroom Floors: Combine 1/2 cup Arm and Hammer baking soda in a bucket of warm water, mop, and rinse clean for a sparkling floor. I was surprised that I liked this one, my floors looked clean but with no residue or strong mop cleaning scent.
