Spongebob Surf and Skate Roadtrip XBox Kinect Game Review

spongebob-surf-skate-road-trip-150

Spongebob is one of my favorite "of the times" cartoons. He is just goofy and funny, kinda like myself at times. So a Kinect game centered around the loveable character was definitely a must when it came to choosing games to review. Spongebob was watched by all three of my kids as they grew up so he is well known and loved in the Shibley household. SpongeBob’s Surf & Skate Roadtrip is non-stop action! SpongeBob and his bodacious Bikini Bottombuddy jump on surfboards and … [Read more...]

Wipeout 2 XBox Kinect Game Review

wipeout-2-review

This is probably going to surprise you but I've never sat down and watched an episode of Wipeout. I've caught glimpses of it and seen commercials. I know what the game is about I've just never watched it. Now my husband and the boys....I can hear them laughing from the other side of the house. This is why when I was asked to review Wipeout 2 for the Kinect I thought it would be a great game for my husband and kids. Wipeout 2 will offer updated, outrageous course designs across … [Read more...]

Twister Mania for Kinect Review

Twister-mania

A Kinect for Christmas means loads of fun for the family. For the majority of the Kinect games it is Honey and I that is doing the reviewing. Yesterday my husband was thoughtful enough to hand over the television for an hour so Honey and I could enjoy some game playing. We decided to test out one of our new games and broke open Twister Mania. Twister™ Mania on Kinect™ for Xbox 360® combines the colorful, expressive and cooperative gameplay of the original Twister® board … [Read more...]

Jillian Michael’s Fitness Adventure Kinect Review

fitness-adventure-kinect-re

As the Kinect gains in popularity more and more games are introduced to the market. I'm excited to take the time to review for you the games I have had the pleasure, or sometimes not the pleasure, to try myself. This weekend I had the chance to pop in Jillian Michael's Fitness Adventure for the Kinect and give it a try with my daughter. Though this is a one player game I try out all games with my daughter, because she wouldn't have it any other way. Before I start with my review … [Read more...]

Zoobles Spring to Life Nintendo DS Review

zoobles

So what are Zoobles? Zoobles are a new character toy from Spin Master. They are cute colorful toys that can be closed up into a ball. When the ball is placed in the Happitat home the cute character expands to full size. Zoobles are kind of cross between Neopets and Littlest Pet Shop. My daughter has been a huge fan of Littlest Pet Shop so I thought this would be a great game for her. Honey popped this game into her DS to check it out as one of my Video Game reviewers. In the … [Read more...]

alvin-150

Alvin and the Chipmunks : Chipwrecked for Kinect preceded the movie in an attempt to get you "moving" and ready for the release. The kids just received a Kinect for Christmas so we have a slew of games to review and we started with Alvin and the Chipmunks because we just got back from seeing the movie. The Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked video game features include: Sing and dance as any of The Chipmunks and The Chipettes–Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette and … [Read more...]

Squinkies 2: Adventure Mall Surprize Nintendo DS Review

squinkies-2-sm

If you have a little girl and haven't heard of Squinkies I can only assume you are unplugged most of the day. Squinkies came out last holiday season and they were BIG, or at least in the Shibley household they were. I won a HUGE Squinkie package from Blommi last year and gave it to Honey for her birthday and she has been a Squinkie fan ever since. From Press Release: Gameplay features 4 distinct areas with sixteen stages in total: the Aquarium, Food Court, Wedding Castle and … [Read more...]

Lalaloopsy Sew Magical! Sew Cute! Nintendo DS Review

lalaloopsysm

I will be honest, before this Nintendo DS game neither my daughter or I had heard of Lalaloopsy. However with a few keyboard strokes and our good old friend Google it appears this is a very popular little girl line of products. Lalaloopsy are rag dolls that magically come to life. Each doll has its own charming personality inspired by the fabric used to make it. They live in a colorful silly world! Sew Magical! Sew Cute! This was enough for me to select this game as a review … [Read more...]
