Now all that said I have this hot workout in my hands, however I have yet to pop it into the DVD player. With my recent Brandcation 2012 trip last weekend I’m further behind then I wish to be. So I’ve yet to really sit down pop it in and work on a schedule. I can’t wait to do so and see if it does all that it promises. With my arsenal of workout DVD’s, equipment, and iPhone applications. I should be fit as the trainers right now. Unfortunately like may I start a program, and burn myself out trying to fit it into my already packed schedule and eventually hang it up. I really want to break that cycle because for my exclamations of this being the year of Health we are half way through May and I’m no better or worse then I was in January.

So here is to a hopefully successful workout routine.

I’m excited to announce that I have been selected as a Skype Ambassador. This is going to be a fun campaign and I’m excited to share with you my experience and the benefits of using Skype to communicate with your family and friends. Just recently for Mother’s Day I created a fun video to send to my mother using the Skype “Mom You Rock” video creation. It was actually rather fun. I was able to select between three different bands, I then had the option of recording myself to be part of the video. I had planned on doing just that with my daughter but she became camera shy so we settled for a photo. We also had the option of editing the note in the final seconds of the film.

Just because Mother’s Day is over doesn’t mean you should shy away from creating a video for that special woman in your life. You also have the option to send a birthday video but I highly recommend surprising your mom.

A video chat or greeting is so much more fun then a traditional card, or phone call. What better way to connect with your mother or other family members by letting them see you in person. When my mother-in-law moved back up north the children turned to Skype to video chat with her so she could see them and they could see her. This made their conversations much more personal. My daughter was also able to show her grandmother all the new clothes she got for Christmas. The kids were constantly running into their bedroom to grab something to show their grandmother. Definitely something they couldn’t have done if they were confined to a simple phone call.

Here’s my logic:

Get a tan without having to go to a private beach.

Summer time is beach time. But are you really going to want to go to the beach if you feel awful in a swimsuit? Losing weight will return the confidence in your body that you used to have, back when it was fun to stroll the beach in a bikini. Changing your physical appearance for the better can give you an entirely new lease on life.

Have more energy to deal with your kids running around the house all summer.

During the summer, your kids will be singing a popular Alice Cooper song while parading around the house. This can require an entirely new dimension of parenting that calls for energy, patience, and maternal charm. You need to be in tip-top shape for the summer. You can’t send your kids to camp for three months!

Rekindle a romance in order to campaign for a second honeymoon.

Summer is a great time to rekindle your marital vows and take a nice romantic vacation. There’s no better way to incite the hubby to whisk you away on a Caribbean cruise than to shed some pounds and return some curves to your body.

I hope I don’t sound superficial. Obviously, there’s more to life than just looking like a supermodel. That’s why my reasons for losing weight are about regaining personal confidence, strengthening your parental abilities, and renewing the romance in your life. Losing weight and living a healthy life will give you more energy, more confidence, and more incentive to do the things that make you happy and give your life meaning.

After our arrival and Olympic filled day on Friday, or first day of Brandcation 2012, Saturday brought us nothing but more fun adventures. I can not say enough how AWESOME with a capital A our time at Adventures Unlimited was. We got up at 6 am to head on over and our condo/team Beachin’ Bloggers were the first up to tackle the zip lines. I had never been zip lining before and like most people that don’t know exactly what to expect I was just a little nervous.

Our morning consisted of hiking through the woods, climbing ladders and spiraling stairs into the sky, standing on tiny platforms with 8 people, and zipping through the air.

The first zip line was a training line and I wasn’t nervous at all when it was my turn. In fact the only thing I was worried about was not braking at the correct point. After the second zip line I was hooked. I absolutely had a blast laughing and talking with the girls and zip lining through the air. I figured out how and when to brake pretty quickly and instead of worrying about it enjoyed the adventure.

Honestly as much fun as the day was I don’t think it would have been as enjoyable as it was without our entertaining guys Kevin and Jacque. They definitely made the adventure fun for all of us. With some 2nd grade jokes and a wealth knowledge of the grounds our 7 zip lines were over way to fast.

After our time in the air we took a some time to eat lunch before our next adventure, tubing. Once everyone was in from zip lining and done eating we were driven out 4 miles and dropped off in the river, armed with tubes, and a cooler of water. The tubing ended up being more work then one would think. What we thought was going to be a lazy ride down the river ended up being an exercise of steering your tube away from stumps, trees, and the shallow ground. It actually made the time go by pretty fast. The tube ride was 3 hours long in which we ended back up at the Adventure Unlimited entrance.

The staff at Adventures Unlimited made our adventure a good one. Everyone was helpful and thoughtful. I really wish it was a little closer to home so I could take my family for a day adventure.

Best Mother’s Day presents ever!

Merck, the makers of non-drowsy CLARITIN® products, has teamed up with Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke-Charvet this spring to create a new short film titled “The Difference is Clear.”

The film is a crazy, over-the-top look at two versions of one busy woman’s day who is juggling work, life and family while also dealing with allergies. In the first version of her day, Brooke’s character doesn’t take her allergy medication, and her non-stop allergy symptoms cause an impossibly upside-down day, where nothing goes right and everything goes wrong. In the second version, she treats her allergies and has an impossibly outrageous day, so much so, that there is no limit to what she can achieve.

While I must admit I have never seen Dancing with the Stars I am aware of whom Brooke Burke is and know a lot about an upside-down day. I have three kids I think we live upside-down constantly. When allergies get in the way it just makes things ten times worse.
