Hair Cuttery $50 Gift Card Giveaway : (Ends 2/17)

One side effect of losing weight is the enjoyment of new clothes and sometimes a new look. Though my weight loss is not going quite as good as I would like I still feel more confident about myself and how I look. I’ve been doing more shopping then usual and have been taking a little extra care with my looks. One way to feel more confident is to visit a hair salon like Hair Cuttery to get a new color, new cut, or something to just spice it up.

At the beginning of the year I decided along with losing weight I would start paying more attention to my beauty routine, hair included. While on vacation I took a trip down to the hair salon and had a few subtle highlights added. In addition I purchased some good shampoo and conditioner along with a clarifying shampoo to help keep my hair clean and healthy.

If you are a loyal reader I’m sure you’ve seen straight hair, curly hair, and up dos. I never like to wear my hair the same way. However one thing that drives me crazy is “frizz”. If I don’t blow out my hair or curl it I end up with frizzy ends. So this weekend I headed down to my local Hair Cuttery hair salon and treated myself to a little beauty treatment. I made an appointment to get a Cibu treatment. Here is my before photo:

Before Cibu Treatment

Sorry for the blurry photo, my daughter took this for me and she actually does a lot better with my DSLR camera then my phone. However you can see my ends are a little frizzy. This is my hair just brushed with no extra help. Saturday morning I got up and went to an early appointment (8:30) at Hair Cuttery  to get my Cibu treatment done.  If you are unfamiliar with what a Cibu treatment is let me explain to the best of my knowledge.

Hair Cuttery uses Cibu products and washes your hair, then puts in two different Cibu products Step 1 and Step 2. They saturate your hair. This is a temporary treatment and last about 7 shampoos. Once your hair is saturated they blow dry it to lock in the shine and anti-frizz. Once it is dry they will then use the flat iron to infuse the Cibu further. The result is straight shiny, no frizz hair. I’ve had the Cibu treatment done once before and enjoyed the aftermath. It really cuts down on drying time and your hair remains shiny and frizz free for a good week or two. here is my after photo.

After Cibu Treatment

The whole treatment took about one and a half hours and I passed the time reading magazines on my iPad, so it went by pretty quickly. I have not heard of this treatment being offered at other salons and it was Hair Cuttery that introduced me to it. I love that it is a temporary treatment and not something that is permanently damaging my hair. I enjoy wearing my hair straight but I also enjoy curling it as well. If you thought Hair Cuttery was just for cuts, think again. They’re a full-service, value-priced salon offering a full complement of premium haircuts, hairstyles, coloring, waxing and texturizing services. With nearly 900 hair salons on the East Coast and throughout the Midwest there is sure to be a hair salon near you.

Through March 4, Hair Cuttery is also offering discounted color packages and 40% off professional shampoo and conditioning liters.

I wasn’t the only one happy with the results, my husband said I look “sexy” with long straight hair. That definitely put a smile on my face!

I’m excited to offer you the chance to win a $50 Hair Cuttery gift card to build your own confidence and find the right service for you. If you win I would love to see an after shot!
