I was listening to the radio Friday on the way to work Wild 95.5 and was just shocked by some of the comments that were being made about a discussion about Father’s Day. The question posed was who was more important when raising a child Mom or Dad? The discussion quickly turned into which was more important Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.
I usually leave my opinions to myself or discuss them with my husband but I have to say in a normal family that includes a Mother and Father how could one ever be more important then the other? How could a Mother be more important then a Father or vice versa? I understand this may not apply to a single mother’s home or a single father’s home however if both parents are actively raising their child whether married, divorced, or separated I have to strongly say that neither day out weighs the other and father’s today should be honored!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL FATHER’S!
To my husband who may be a little over protective at times, only because he cares and loves his children so much I wish him the best day today.
To my own fathers that currently reside in Heaven. I wish to honor them today as well.
