A couple months ago I had the chance to review the adorable Kidorable raincoat and other cute rain gear. One thing I did not get a chance to review was an umbrella. Wouldn’t you know that was one thing Honey really wanted. We have a large golf umbrella in the car but trust me when you are trying to fit one adult and three kids in it while dashing into the grocery store trying to miss the huge puddles it is like trying to fit those 15 clowns in the tiny car, just isn’t going to happen!
Before I show of my umbrella model I thought I would let you know about a great deal going on right now at Kidorable. Between now and February 14th if you spend $20 you can use the Kidorable coupon code: LOVEYOU and get the cutest pair of “hearts knit gloves”.
So on to my review, my umbrella model is getting anxious to have her photo taken and scurry away with her prize. We received the Ballerina Kids Umbrella one of Kidorable’s newest lines. This is a perfect umbrella for my daughter who recently took up dance at school. In fact they had their very first show-and-tell at school a couple weeks ago and she was so excited to bring her umbrella. Her teacher said she was so excite and animated explaining her umbrella to the children. How the handle was a cute ballerina slipper, and how to open and close it and how to properly stand under it and not get wet.
Now my review of the umbrella is a little different then Honey’s show-and-tell to the kids. There are two very important elements to a good umbrella in my opinion. One and the most important is size. Yes with umbrella’s bigger is better! I don’t normally like to purchase kids umbrellas because they are so small. Yes I know children are smaller then adults but seriously people give them some coverage there is nothing worse then a wet child whining how wet they are! You would think they would melt! So with that said I was impressed with the size of the Kidorable umbrella. Not only is it large enough to keep Honey try I like how deep it is and rounded to really ward off the rain.
Second an umbrella needs to be easy to open and close. Who wants to stand out in the rain struggle to open their umbrella. Or in my case struggling not to grab it out of my daughters hands and do it myself. My daughter is extremely independent and must be able to do things on her own. Thankfully she is able to open and close the umbrella herself. Now if we would just have a rainy day in which she could use the umbrella and her cute boats and rain gear she would be all set! The umbrellas from Kidorable meet both my standards and my daughters!
