I really hope this one sounds as hilarious as if I were telling you the story myself because everyone I told has cracked up.
Just this past Monday at Nick’s baseball practice Honey and I were playing at the park.
Honey says, “I have to pee!”
Now my daughter is potty trained, I mean she is almost 5 but she has a bad habit of waiting until she can’t hold it anymore. So we set off for the bathroom quickly. And the below conversation begins.
Honey: “My pants are wet!”
Me: “Why? Did you sit in water ?” (How naive am I)
Honey: “No I peed in them!”
Me: “Did you pee all the way?”
Honey: “No, I’m still holding half of it.”
So we proceed to the bathroom so she can finish. While she was going, me being the ever teaching mommy tries to explain to her about the urge to pee, and how she can’t wait until the last minute to decide to go.
Me: “Honey, what happens is your bladder starts to fill up with pee, when it is full it tells your brain you need to go to the rest room. So as soon as you hear it you need to stop what you are doing and go pee, instead of waiting.”
She looks at me exasperated like I’m kind of stupid and throws her hand up in the air and says!
