Honey recently received her Kohl’s Cares box and couldn’t wait to open it up. Each quarter we receive a few free samples, of the books and plush toys available in the new line ofitems. I love how Kohl’s combines the love of reading and toys together to give back.
Now through the end of June, Kohl’s offers Deborah Diesen books, include The Pout-Pout Fish and The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark, along with coordinating plush toys and matching tote bag for the usual $5 each.
I had never heard of the books but when Honey read one to me during our normal bath time-reading routine I could see why she loved them. The unsersea advetnures are playful and in a sing-along rhyme. Honey loves books that rhyme, that is one reason she has always been such a huge fan of Dr. Seuss.

Since the program’s inception in 2000, the Kohl’s Cares philanthropic program has raised more than $231 million for children’s health and education programs in local communities across the country
When Honey’s books comes in she runs to her room to read them as her stuffed animal sits next to her. Then she will read the books to me during our reading time. She will then take the books into school so the teacher can share them with the class. She is always so excited about her new books. This is one reason I love this program and the fact that each book is simply $5 and your purchase is helping children across the country.
