Yesterday ended up being a mommy daughter day. My husband went golfing with some friends and the boys, well they played XBox. Our day started like everyone else, we got dress. Honey was very excited because the night before we had done a little shopping and she found something she has been wanting for some time, a vest! I also think this is the first pair of shorts she has ever worn that were not jean shorts or a school uniform.
After some fun shopping including a trip to Sally’s Beauty Supply we came home and to check out our spoils. At Sally’s they had some nail polish that was buy two get one free so we picked out three colors. Honey of course had to use them all!
Honey made me pinky promise twice Friday that I would color with her. While we were shopping we picked up a fun Giant Mickey Mouse coloring book and we got to work Saturday evening so I could fulfill my promise.
What we thought was going to be a quick craft (that we bought at the dollar store), ending up being quite a tedious task. What was funny is before we even started Honey said, “The box says No Mess, I don’t think they are telling the truth” The reason is this project contained a lot of glitter. I don’t know about you but I’ve yet to do anything with glitter that didn’t result in a mess. What we had to do was there was 8 glitter colors and this board was numbered (like a paint by number). We had to remove all the little stickers for each number and underneath it, it was sticky. We then took the glitter and poured it over the photo so it would only stick to the spots we uncovered. The board was small and many of the stickers were tiny so it took some time. However the end result Honey LOVED! She was running around the house showing everyone because she was so excited.
