Nutrisystem Update : Week Four

Wow it seems like the past week just flew by. Or maybe I just had a lot going on.  I knew that this week wasn’t going to be a huge loss because I had some events that I knew were going to be a little bit out of my control eating wise.  I actually expected a small gain or a goose egg so I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I did super good Monday through Wednesday and that I believe was  my saving grace.  Of course thanks to the Nutrisystem food it isn’t hard to stay on track. Thursday I joined fellow bloggers in the event  Chevy Mom’s Nite Out. I knew we were eating at Carrabba’s and had planned on getting some grilled chicken or something otherwise healthy.  However it turned out we had two choices regarding our dinner.  So I ended up with Chicken Marsala and a Caesar Salad.  It wouldn’t have been my first choice but it was absolutely delicious!

Friday I totally forgot about a baby shower of a co-worker and yes I could have chosen to eat before or after the event but I decided I wanted to participate with everyone and I ended up eating  Mexican food. Again no choices it was a buffet style appetizer kinda party.  I did super good on Saturday and all day Sunday until once again I went out to eat.  Monday was my anniversary so my husband and I went out to dinner Sunday night as a celebration.  I took the night off once again and just enjoyed myself.  Of course that was my choice, I know I could have done well Sunday night because this time the choice was mine.

Despite my poor eating habits on these occasions the best part is I had no trouble jumping right back to eating good Monday and now Tuesday morning. To be able to do that is a success in my book. That is the whole point of the program. It isn’t a strict diet that you simply follow until you lose your weight. It is learning how to eat well, that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy your occasional pleasures, what it means is you just jump back into once you do.   So I had some curve balls this week. I enjoyed my events and friends and I didn’t let it spoil everything.  Of course with the awesome tasting Nutrisystem food it is pretty easy to jump right back on the next day!

 

Weigh in:

Beginning Weight: 168.8

Tuesday 5/3/11: 158.6

Today’s weight: 157.6

Total Weekly Weight Loss: 1.0 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 11.2 lbs

  3. That’s awesome, Colleen! I can’t believe you are already 4 weeks in. I guess I’ve been missing for awhile. Right now, I can’t even channel the energy to think about eating right or following a diet. Of course, I say that as I stuff my face with a Panera sandwhich that has more calories in it than I’m allotted in an entire day.

  4. You’re doing great! And how awesome that you had more than one “cheat” day, and you still lost weight? Keep it up! One of these days when we get together to go to the beach, we can both feel good in our suits! Yay!
