I am an official Orville Redenbacher’s Ambassador and have committed to the Healthy Snacking Challenge. The challenge is quite simple, just begin substituting Orville Redenbacher’s SmartPop popcorn for your usual snacks. I’ve often used popcorn as a filling snack. With such a large portion to calorie ration it makes me feel like I’m really getting a lot without eating too much.
As my commitment to good health continues this year snacking is definitely something that can ruin any good eating plan. In fact it isn’t usually my meals that do me in but the in between. The one chip that turns into a handful or a piece of candy or two, three, or five. These calories all add up over the course of the day. So what better way to cut down on those unwanted calories by substituting with something filling and lower in caloric intake like popcorn (not slathered in butter).
Orville Redenbacher’s Smart Pop popcorn Butter flavored is 94% Fat Free. At 120 calories per serving (about 1/2 of the bag) that is an excellent snack. It even contains 4 grams of protein. The Orville Redenbacher’s Smart Pop I currently have in my pantry is the Pop Up Bowls. I love these because you don’t have to dirty a bowl and when you are done you can simply throw it away.
I encourage you to check out the Orville Redenbacher’s Facebook page and snag a $1 coupon. Also if you have a free minute check out the Pop Cam Game where you can virtually much on some healthy popcorn. Here you can see me snatching up a piece of Orville Redenbacher’s Smart Pop.
