Our family is made up of so many different type of people it makes me smile. My husband is a romantic and a little sentimental saving cards, notes, etc. My daughter lives in the moment and often will get rid of anything she is not using at the time. My youngest son is neither not caring about ordering a yearbook or preserving memories. My oldest son is the most sentimental of them all. He saves everything. I remember finding in his room one time an old jar full of dice, coins, small rubber balls, and other trinkets.
When I was asked if I wanted to review a blanket from Project Repat I immediately thought of my son. My son just graduated from high school this year so the Project Repat t-shirt quilt blanket was the perfect gift to memorialize his high school years.
Project Repat T-Shirt Quilt Blanket
I wasn’t sure we would have enough t-shirts to create a blanket but after my son got into his closet we were both enjoying laughs and memories choosing the right ones for his Project Repat t-shirt quilt blanket. Some of our favorites were his ASL (American Sign Language) shirt from his senior year, his bowling shirt that has been to small forever but he didn’t want to let it go, and my favorite, “I put Ketchup on my Ketchup”.
Project Repat T-Shirt Quilt Blanket Sizes
- Lap – 16 panels
- Twin – 24 panels
- Full – 30 panels
- Queen – 49 panels
- King – 64 panel
Each t-shirt can act as one or two panels depending on if you are wanting to use the back of your t-shirt. We only had 12 shirts so my son’s blanket utilized the bank of all of his shirts. We were able to select the backing color and my son chose red (since orange was not an option, his favorite color).
Our Project Repat T-Shirt Quilt Blanket
Both my son and I absolutely love this blanket. The backing is nice and soft and very comfortable and my son’s only complaint was he wished it was bigger so he could use it at night. Right now he uses it when he sits on the sofa with us watching TV. This is such a fun and amazing graduation, birthday, or new baby present. The memories are all on display to always be remembered.
