I recently had the opportunity to try the new Quaker Soft Baked Bar. Not only did I give these a try but I also asked my husband and daughter try them as well. This way I could really get a good idea if these would be a good snack solution for my family
Quaker soft baked bars are a wholesome food
These treats aren't just tasty, but are packed with:
• 140 calories
• 5g of Fiber
• 6g of Protein
• Excellent source of 5 B-Vitamins
My husband was the first of us to give these tasty bars a try. He took them to work as a healthy snack. He has been working at creating a balanced and healthy diet and felt these would work due to their balance of fat, fiber, and protein. He enjoyed them but did say he preferred the Cinnamon Pecan Bread to the Banana Nut Bread.
The second to try the snack was my daughter. I packed one in her lunch box. She loves to try new things and was happy to give the snacks a try. She said they were ok but Honey is not really a "snack" type of person she prefers nuts, beef jerky, and fruit to anything like crackers, chips, or bars.
I took the soft bars to work with me to serve as my breakfast snack. I liked the idea of microwaving the bars to warm them up and soften them up even more. After trying both brands I agree with my husband the Cinnamon Pecan Bread soft bars are definitely yummy. I feel that the calorie count and a little higher protein then many snacks makes this a great snack for me when trying to follow a healthy diet.
