One of my favorite places to shop for great deals is Kohl’s. They always have such a large selection of clothes for the whole family. Since my daughter only wears what I would say were “trendy” clothes Kohl’s is a great place for her to shop. Right now she is all about the glitter and neon and no matter what season or way the wind blows she is always a “shoe” girl. Strange because I wouldn’t consider myself a lover of shoes but Honey is one in true form. I can take her out shopping for anything and she will zero in on the shoes and find something that she says is “totally her”.
We had the chance recently to look through a Kohl’s look book for some fun shoes for her to Walk the Halls during this back-to-school season and Honey had a little trouble. A little trouble narrowing down her choices of course. She can always find a shoe she loves! I was able to get her to narrow down her choices to a few pairs of shoes she wanted to review for Kohl’s. I requested that she select at least one pair of shoes that would be good for gym. So she picked out a pair of light blue Vans, that match her back pack, (that is important you know)!
These ended up being the perfect pair of shoes for Honey. Not only because of the bright color but also because my daughter refuses to wear socks with any shoes. When she chooses shoes that are not high tops or boots we have to pay special attention to the heel. The more padding around the heel the better chance that they are not going to bother her. When these arrived I was very pleased with the heel on the shoe and knew immediately these were going to be a keeper. Honey couldn’t wait until they arrived, I guess she had been telling her friends about her newand wanted to shoe them off.
Honey also picked out a second pair of shoes. True to her style she picked out once again another. This girl has so many different style of boats you would think she lived in cold country. Thankfully here in South Florida wearing boats with shorts seems to be the style with the girls.
These boots are different then her worn out pair of boots, I would liken them to a pair of army boots. Thankfully those laces do not have to be tied and untied since the boots have a zipper up the side. When Honey first put these on she said they were not comfortable and my heart sank because I can’t tell you how many times I purchase something that she says in the store feels great only to find out later she doesn’t like them. In fact, she has one pair of boots that fit this scenario right now in her closet. She decided to try them on once again and walk around in them, I think she wanted to like them too, and found out they felt just fine.
We have purchased our share of shoes from so many different stores. One nice thing about girls and women’s shoes you can find so many different styles at such great prices. My husband is often commenting on how inexpensive some of my shoes are compared to his $50-$100 sneakers. At Kohl’s I find the shoes are made of great quality and should hopefully last Honey through the back-to-school year as long as she doesn’t out grow them!
