Honey’s ‘Peace’ful Ride

bike

I mentioned a few days ago about my unfortunate experience at Toys R Us : Toys R Us Fail. After this fiasco we did manage to purchase Honey a bike that day. Our third stop was a Walmart (our second Walmart). At this third stop we were finally finally to find something in her size and for a girl. Our issue with the first Walmart was size, we couldn't find anything in 18". How did I know I needed an 18" bike? Thanks to my iPhone (I just love smart phones). I was able to google … [Read more...]

Do Your Kids Eat Like This?

wb-meal

Yes I'm doing a little "mommy bragging" here. I can't help it after two kids who are on the other end of the spectrum I take pride in how my daughter eats. This was Honey's favorite meal from this past week. My husband is a corn eater and myself broccoli which is why there are so many different vegetables. However these three happen to be Honey's favorite. Not only did Honey eat everything on this plate she asked for seconds on the steak and corn! … [Read more...]

Brother Sweetness Is the Best

guitar-birthday

Buddy is taking guitar at school. He has never played before but wants to learn. I love that they have a class he can take. On Honey's birthday Tuesday he commented that he wished he knew how to play Happy Birthday for her. Since he didn't he want online and found what he needed to teach himself. It is a little rough he is still learning how to play but I was holding back tears because I thought this was the sweetness thing! (Video is not long at all) … [Read more...]

Traits that right now can sometimes make me want to wring her neck but traits I know when she is grown will become important and help her become a great woman. Happy Birthday Honey! … [Read more...]

My Daughters Terms of Endearment

termsofendearment

Nothing can make you smile more then your children. The other day I said to my daughter... Me: "I love you!" Honey: "I love you too!" Me: "I love you more" Honey: "I love you infinity....(very wide eyed and loud) AND BEYOND!!!!!" Dropping her off at school one day she gets out of the car and I said to her... Me: "See ya later alligator!" Honey sticks her head back in the car : (I've never heard this one) "Bye Bye Butterfly!" … [Read more...]

You Go Girl! Another Milestone Down

how-to-tie-your-shoes

Honey has been wanting to learn how to tie her shoes for a good year now. The problem is she is not easy to teach sometimes. She pretty much feels she should be able to do everything and everything easily. So she was very impatient when I tried to teach her to tie, and we would shelve it for a while.  Well last week my sister called me up to share her proud mommy moment. My nephew (who is 5 months younger then Honey) just learned how to ride his bike without his training wheels. … [Read more...]

A Hard Lesson to Learn

runied-150

Honey has been doing such a great job in kindergarten. She is excited that each day she comes home with banana tickets. Banana tickets are something the kids earn if they have had a good day following the rules and behaving properly. When they accumulate 10 tickets they can trade them in for a treasure box item of their choice.  I figured she would be a really good student and maybe only getting in trouble occasionally for a little excess chit chat or being a tiny bit too bossy. … [Read more...]
