The Mango Critter is still at large. If you visited yesterday you may have saw my post on my uninvited garage guest. My daughter has officially dubbed it The Mango Critter.
I actually got quiet a few comments and suggestions regarding what the animal might be. There was even question regarding whether it is a mango or papaya. The truth is I have no idea. I googled both and can almost say that we DEFINITELY do have a mango tree in our yard. However we did not make the connection yesterday because mangos look very different when they are ripe.
Here is our tree, and the photos from the garage.
Here is a picture of a mango and a papaya. Seriously I still don’t know which one is in my garage LOL!
Some people suggested that it could be a rat, a raccoon, or even an iquana, which wouldn’t be far fetched since we live in South Florida.
We did find out how the Mango Critter is getting in and out of the garage with its dinner. We found this very large hole in the garage wall and it just happens to be right between two storage bins.
I thought I would be the sleuth last night and put up a video camera to try to find out at least what it was. However I went out into the garage and got it all set up and out of habit (not thinking at all) I turned the light off when I went back inside. SIGH!
So my plans are to stop the sleuthing and just board up the hole in hopes of it not returning. However I admit I really wish I knew what it was.
