It has been less than a month since the “official” start of summer. The 4th of July was only a couple Saturdays ago. And do you know what I saw recently? A back to school promotion. Is it really that time again? My kids are still in the middle of full fledged summer and I might get a stink face if I mention anything school related. It’s coming children, be aware! Honestly though, “back to school” could start in June if it meant getting some amazing deals on clothes and items I know they’ll need and love. thredUP.com is a fashion resale site where you can sell your defect free, on trend, name brand clothing either upfront or on consignment. This also makes it the perfect one-stop shop for the coolest Back to School gear. While it may be back to school I put that thought out of my mind and did a little shopping for good ole mom!
Shopping throughout the thredUP Back to School section I’ll save up to 90% off retail, that’s a huge savings and I can do it without waiting for the sales at local retail stores. I can easily browse through favorite brands including GapKids, Janie and Jack, Lilly Pulitzer and more. Of course, I love my online shopping and with thredUP I can visit the site or use their convenient, stress-free mobile app.
thredUP Raise A Hand For Teachers
thredUP has partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org in their Raise a Hand For Teachers Program to recognize and thank them for their hard work. Teachers make such positive impacts on our children’s lives and it’s important that we take time to return the favor. Did you know that teachers spend an average of $500 of their own money each year to equip their classrooms? This can be anything from extra Kleenex to pencils, even decorations. As many as 70% of teachers have even purchased personal items for students in need such as jackets, socks, and shoes.
Head over to thredUP.com/Teachers to read nominations to make your heart melt and watch videos of kids thanking their teachers. You’ll also find new survey data from AdoptAClassroom.org. While you’re there between July 15 and August 23, you can nominate a teacher in your life to be one of three winners. Each win’s $2,500 for classroom supplies and $500 to thredUP! An additional 50 teachers will receive the runner-up prize of $100 to thredUP. All winners will be announced following Labor Day weekend on Tuesday, September 8.
I love this idea and there are so many deserving teachers. I have been so lucky over the years with all of my children and their teachers. I nominated my daughters third grade teacher. Last year the school my daughter attends starting a new program for high achieving students. My daughter was selected as one of the participates in the class. Her teacher was absolutely AMAZING and I have even been emailing her over the summer sharing some of my daughter activities. I encourage you to vote for your favorite teacher and get everyone involved I’m sure your teacher could use the extra classroom supplies.
