I’m so happy that my daughter lost her first tooth the day BEFORE we left for vacation. Though I know I would have survived had I missed this first I’m so glad that I did not have too. Yesterday Honey lost her first tooth. Unfortunately she followed in her oldest brothers footsteps and swallowed it.
Saturday afternoon Honey came to me and complained that something was wrong with her tooth. When she showed me I could tell it was barely hanging on and told her there was nothing wrong with it she was losing her tooth. She didn’t seem all that keen on the idea and put a wet paper towel in her mouth and went to sleep. The next morning we were eating cereal and out of the corner of my eye I glimpsed something. I said Honey show me your teeth. As soon as she did I saw that the tooth was gone (she did have it before she started to eat as I checked).
So we did the same thing we did for Buddy and made a tooth out of paper and left the tooth fairy a note. The tooth fairy fluttered into her room and left her a gold dollar and a little bit of fairy dust behind.
I just can’t believe my baby girl is growing up, but you know what she told me? She said, “Mommy I will always be your baby!”
