Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Unfortunately this year I got so wrapped up in working and errands that I didn’t even get a chance to decorate. It wasn’t until the week before Halloween that my daughter realized my forget fullness and by then it was too late to drag everything out and set up only to take it down a week later. Of course no decorations does not mean we did not celebrate Halloween. As the sun began to set I got the boys ready to be the candy handlers.
The candy bowl was filled and the porch light turned on. I actually had to install a bulb as we don’t normally have the porch light on because it is connected to our outdoor lights that we keep on all night long. Nick has his job, he was the official candy man while my husband and I got ready to take my daughter trick-or-treating. I grabbed my Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera and began snapping away to commemorate the holiday.
I love using the 4K feature so that I can capture the perfect moment even when my subject is in motion. I took several photos of my daughter putting on a little make-up as she got ready for Halloween. She doesn’t wear make-up on a regular basis as she is only 10 but she was allowed to have some fun for Halloween. Once she was ready we took some photos so she could see her costume herself, and of course because this mama wanted some photos.
I love my touch enabled monitor on my LUMIX G7. It makes scanning through all my photos so much easier. With the 4K feature I can extract the perfect moment from any photo. Even photos not in motion this is still a great photo. Often I have to say a few things to get a smile on my daughters face, a real smile. When shooting in 4K I can take the photo and get her to smile at the same time meaning one of those frames is going to capture the perfect look.
We spent about 45 minutes combing the neighborhood while my daughter did her trick-or-treating. She doesn’t stay out for too long just enough to get a bowl of candy. Once she is done she comes home and dumps her candy out to split it up between herself, her brothers, and my husband and I giving everyone what they like most. Everyone ends up with a small bag of candy and it is just enough to enjoy the treats of Halloween without overdoing it.
As a Panasonic Ambassador I have loved over the past couple of months getting to know my camera and all the awesome features. I have shared all my amazing photos with my friends and family and I highly recommend this camera. I can’t wait to purchase a few lens so I can do even more!
I hope you and your family had a Happy Halloween!
