You can’t turn anywhere today where you are not reminded of this very day 10 years ago. Today September 11, 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the attack on the USA. Where people lost their lives in the twin towers of New York, the Pentagon, a field in Pennsylvania, and 4 airplanes that never reached their destination. As you grow older your memories tend to fade, there are however a handful of memories that are just as vivid as if they happened yesterday. September 11, 2001 is one of those days for millions of people, myself included.
Today as America remembers those people that needlessly lost their lives and the heroes that saved so many more my heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones who went to work and never returned. Who got on an airplane for business or personal reasons and never reached their destination. I can only imagine how the day changed your life knowing that it changed mine. It is a constant reminder that live is to be cherished and lived. That each day we should show the people around us how much we care, love, and value the relationships we have built with them.
