How To Clean Your Grill
Arm & Hammer Baking Soda many years ago to me meant baking in the kitchen. It was something to have on hand when a recipe called for baking soda. It is amazing to me how many uses this little box of white powder has. I’ve often seen it used as a deodorizer in the refrigerator. I have pretty sophisticated refrigerator and don’t need to use my little orange multi-purpose box for this reason. So for this months #SwitchandSave Challenge I decided to put Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to the test and use it to clean my grill.
This is a brand new grill grate. I just purchased it a month or so ago to replace the old one that was just past its prime. In addition I also replaced the burner cover (the piece under the grate). As you can see they don’t look anything like new! Thanks to my handy “Household Uses for Baking Soda : Over 100 helpful solutions & tips” I have just the recipe to clean up this grill.
Sprinkle dry Arm & Hammer baking soda on a damp brush, scrub as needed, and rinse clean. For tough, greasy stains, scrub with a wire brush and a baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda to 1 part warm water), and rinse thoroughly.
I’m really interested to see if this “clean your grill” solution is going to do the trick. I’ve come to believe baking soda can do just about anything! I would have loved to try the “Cleaning Door and Window Screens” solution which is just quickly scrubbing them with a damp wire brush and baking soda. However we don’t have any screens in our house. Don’t ask it is a soar subject that the landlord likes to ignore.

We do not have central air in my house so we bought a small plastic pool to cool off in. I’ve been sprinkling a little arm and hammer in it instead of chlorine to keep the water fresh.
