We love reviewing apps here at Shibley Smiles. When the app is for a child we usually download and hand it over to my daughter to see what she can do on her own without any help. This gives us a good idea if the app needs an adult to help or if it is easy to navigate for a child. My daughter is currently nine so she is not a young child anymore but she loves reviewing apps with us. Today we are reviewing three fun apps brought to you by SeaWorld® Kids.
Three New iPad Apps From SeaWorld® Kids
All three apps are very similar in nature with the Penguin’s Playground and Polar Bear Playground apps focusing on one animal. Baby Animals : Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies is comprised of information and games dealing with all types of animals and their babies. Honey looked at all three and gravitated towards the animal babies. She truly is an animal lover. I don’t mean someone that simply loves animals. Animals make her happy, brighten her day, and you can really see the change in her when she is around them.
Baby Animals : Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies App by SeaWorld® Kids
Each app has a series of games and videos for your child to enjoy. As much as Honey loves to play games she was more interested in watching the videos. Not only are the videos cute and entertaining many of them are educational. Honey watched a video about two Sea Otter Pups that were stranded and saved by SeaWorld. The video explained how the Sea Otter Pups were feed, groomed, and introduced to a larger environment as they grew. The app has several different videos for your child to choose from.
Baby Animals App
In addition to the videos there are several games included in each app. In the Baby Animals : Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies App you can see there are puzzles and matching games as well as action games like Sea Turtle Beach Dash. Ok action is probably not the right term, but your child does navigate the turtle over facts and information.
Baby Animals : Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies App Features
- High definition videos of animals in their natural habitat
- Educational e-books that highlight words as they are read to you
- Puzzles with 4 difficulty levels to entertain kids of all ages
- Image galleries filled with stunning pictures of animals
- Memory/matching games that encourage cognitive development
- Coloring activities with special stickers
- Interactive games to create, save and share customized animal scenes
I mentioned that the other two apps Penguins Playground and Polar Bear Playground both are very similar to the one reviewed above. Since they are all free apps to download we recommend you go ahead and download all three to give your child the best of all three apps and all the adorable animals.

Final Thoughts and Recommendations
Overall the apps had fun content if your child enjoys playing games, reading, and watching videos about animals. The videos in the apps are good for any age as Honey really enjoyed them. The games are geared toward younger children maybe under the age of 6. The SeaWorld Kids Insider is a must feature for these apps so the videos and content can be updated periodically for continued enjoyment. The price is right at FREE and we recommend these three apps if you child enjoys SeaWorld and animals.
