Back to school shopping in our home always puts a strain on my pocket book. With three kids it is hard not too. Honey is pretty easy to shop for when it comes to clothing for school since she is required to wear a uniform, ever since kindergarten.

First day of Kindergarten
She likes to wear three different colored shirts: light pink, light blue, purple. Then she pairs them with leggings. The boys however are both in high school and have a little more freedom. They both have their own style, well actually my youngest son is creating his since this is the first year he won’t be required to wear a shirt with a color. I see a lot of t-shirts in our future.
I did some browsing on eBay where you can get some great deals on both new and used clothing and put together a fun collection “Your Trendy One Stop for #BacktoSchool” for you. I wanted to show you that you can get just about anything you need for your back-to-school needs with the click of your computer.
Also each year when the kids were in elementary and middle school they brought home a list at the end of the previous year with a handful of school supplies they will need next year. Since Honey is still in elementary school we went shopping for her list last weekend. It has the usual pencils (well 72 pencils), crayons, paper, etc. The boys like their clothing have a little more freedom over their supplies. I put together another fun collection of essential back-to-school supplies on eBay: “Gotta Have These #BackToSchool Essentials”
Each week eBay is giving away a $500 shopping spree to one lucky winner who creates a collection around that weeks theme. I can contest to the fact that you can week because in week 4 I won one of the $500 shopping sprees for the weeks theme of wedding gifts. It came in very handy because we had just moved and I was able to purchase items for my home. In fact, I even created my own collection of items I was interested in so I could visually see all the items in one place.
I encourage you to head over and bookmark the link to the weekly one million eBay celebration found here: http://www.ebay.com/celebratecollections. Today is the last day to enter the #BackToSchool themed celebration but don’t let that stop you. All you have to do is log into your account, find an item that screams back-to-school and click the “add to collection” button. Then you will be asked to create a collection. Just make sure your title has the hashtag #BackToSchool in it similar to the collections I have shown you above. You can find great back to school items on eBay here: http://www.ebay.com/rpp/back-to-school, you can use the items for your collections here or buy them of course!
If you are reading this after 8/3 don’t worry there will be a new theme for you so go ahead an enter for a chance to win a $500 eBay shopping spree.

As an empty nester, I don’t have to worry about school supplies anymore. But I sure remember those days and all the stuff we had to buy.
