My daughter LOVES to makeover her room, about once a year. Her taste are forever revolving and she loves to rearrange her furniture. However as you might expect making over a bedroom can sometimes be rather expensive. Thankfully with a little bit of well thought out ideas and some great sales we can often accomplish her makeover at a reasonable price.
Right now my daughter’s color choice is white, grey, and yellow. So we started by painting two of her walls a pale yellow. It really brightened up her room and the cost was minimal as we had the painting supplies and just needed the paint.

My daughter is a minimalist and she likes solid colors, and very subtle designs. So this pattern on the bedding was a perfect choice. She loves that it is soft and the perfect addition to her new room. I love it because it is only $44.99 for the Full/Queen comforter set, which includes the comforter and two pillow shams. This was a great find and helped keep her room makeover within budget.
A few additional changes we made were to hang Christmas lights up around the top of her room. While you can also use fairy lights, we wanted something easy to hang up and something that can be plugged in versus using batteries.
Another inexpensive and easy way to makeover my daughter’s room was to switch out the electrical outlet and light switch cover to add character. To go with her glass sunflower photo we found a great sunflower light switch cover.
