I’m a little behind in my episode recaps. That’s what happens when you have kids that play sports and go on vacation. Thank God for DVR!
This week’s episode was the excuse of “I Lack Self Control”. That is a good one and one I’m sure we have all used a time or two! Of course “self control” brings temptations, and that is what this week was about. Do you give in to temptation to tip the balance? Or do you have self control and let the game play out without your control. I was surprised at the choice of many to give in to temptation for the sake of “having control”. I’ve said this once and will say again, do these guys not realize they are going to have to tell their trainers?
Mark, Chris, Kimmy, Cassandra, and Daphne decided the game needed to be in their control. The prize? The person that ate the most calories could switch up and make the teams as they see fit. First off I’m going to start by saying that is never a good thing to have control over. As the person making the teams you put a target on your back! The twist was no one would know who one.
With the person to lose the least and the most in danger Daphne stuffed her face with 1890 calories of peanut butter cups. By far the most calories Daphne took control. Her decision was to switch Conda and Jeremy. I very poor decision you see as the show plays out. I personally thought Daphne had worked her way into becoming a true Black team member, however this move broaden any gap that was getting smaller and alienated her from not just her team but the entire house.
It was obvious to the masses that Daphne made the switch. Her excuse when she finally came out about it (thanks to Bob’s pushing her to do so) was she wanted to make sure Bob was her trainer. Poor excuse if you ask me if that is all you wanted then you didn’t need to make a change. Her decision was based on raw emotion and her dislike of Conda.
Daphne’s Decision: Poor beyond belief she let her emotions get the best of her and made a decision I believe cost her the game all in the name of revenge for her brother. I think she would have gotten a better revenge by winning the whole game.
Black Team: The black team decided that for the house they would make sure they got rid of Daphne by throwing the weigh in. All but Chris seemed to participate in a decision to lose little to no weight. Now that I think about it they had to have ONE big loser so maybe Chris was part of the plan. I’ve always disagreed with any team that takes this route during game play.
Daphne’s Departure: When Daphne realized what was going on she decided to take matters into her own hands by also throwing her own weigh in to basically say “I’m done! Vote me off!” I’m not a quitter and I hate that she made this decision, but emotionally I can see that staying at the house at this point would do more harm then good for her.
I don’t quite understand the pull Conda has on the house and this was definitely not a favorite episode of mine. I personally can’t wait until makeover week LOL!
