My favorite episode every season is Biggest Loser Makeover Week. This season was no exception. Before the contestants headed off to makeover week they had a challenge to complete. The winner taking the prize of a one pound immunity and the loser a one pound disadvantages. Definitely a prize worth playing for and not losing for on the Biggest Loser ranch. At this stage in the game those are high stakes. The challenge was to climb up a rope net, retrieve a ball, and sling shot into a two pane glassed photo of the “before” Biggest Loser you.
The pound advantage was awarded to Buddy Shuh, the first challenge he has been able to participate in, in a while. The disadvantage to Conda Britt. As soon as the challenge was over the contestants were surprised with the announcement of makeover week. This year the makeover included a special trip.
Of all the contestants the must “changed” was definitely Chris Pickler. Just dyeing her hair changed her look dramatically, which is a common Biggest Loser favorite.. In fact having not paid much attention to her age before I was shocked to learn she was in her 40’s. Kim Nielson looked beautiful, and I really thought Conda’s new hair cut complimented her face and as the stylist said did make her look thinner.
I would have loved to see the guys in something other than suits but when you are going where they were going it is understandable. I honestly liked Mark Cornelison better with his goatee. Buddy looked younger and Jeremy cleaned up well.
After their makeovers the contestants flew to Washington DC for a surprise visit with the first lady, Michelle Obama. They were met by both Bob and Dolvett, Biggest Loser trainers, who were wowed by the transformation. Of course you can’t have a makeover show with out family. This is the part of the show when I always needs tissues in hand. Imagining your family seeing you for the first time when you have lost 40-60-80 or even 100 pounds is wonderful.
The episode ended in a To Be Continued….so there was no weigh in just yet.
So tell me who’s makeover were you most impressed with?
