Last year the family and I enjoyed an amazing vacation aboard the Carnival Imagination. We were so excited to be invited back on their sister ship Carnival Breeze.
Our previous cruise was a quick 3 night cruise The Bahamas. We enjoyed it so much we were really wanting to take a longer cruise. The reason for choosing the Carnival Breeze was the rooms were made to accommodate a larger family like our family of five. The cabin definitely was bigger and we had a little more room. The only thing that was not ideal is when you have to use the two upper bunks you are unable to push the twin beds together to make a king so hubby and I were stuck sleeping on our respective beds, which just felt odd.
Carnival Breeze Cabins
What made the difference were a couple of features. It was actually much easier to get out of bed and move around even with the bunks down. Instead of a cot on our remaining floor place Honey had her own bed that converted to a sofa (or I assume it did we left it as a bed).
Even with all five beds ready you could move about the room. Another great feature for us was the dual bathrooms. We had one bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. The second bathroom had a tub/shower and sink. This means two people could bathe at the same time which was great. I also was still able to enjoy a bath one thing I missed on our previous cruise.
Towel Animals
One thing that everyone thinks of when they think cruise are towel animals. You know those cute animals the steward leaves when he/she cleans your room. Honey was always so excited to get back to the room after dinner to see what animal was waiting for us. It became a tradition to take a photo of her with the towel animal after the first one.
Service and Staff Members
One thing that was the same on both ships is the amazing staff members aboard the Carnival ships. I love that the steward always addressed us by name. He always asked how our day was, was there a time we preferred him to clean our cabin. One thing that really set him apart is that he noticed we had brought my son’s nebulizer with us (my son was having some asthma issues when we began our vacation). The first night when we returned to our cabin there was a long orange extension cord. This was so thoughtful, because if you have cruised before you will know there is one outlet in the room usually placed right above the desk or main area. The extension cord allowed us to move the machine where we needed.
The dining staff was just as wonderful. We chose the “your time dining” which meant you could dine anytime you wanted between 5:45-9:30 (I think). We definitely preferred this method to the assigned time and seating. We received the same waiter 3 of the nights and definitely missed it when they sat us somewhere else. In the future I think I will ask to be seating with the same staff. It was nice that he remembered our drink orders, that my son always asks for extra ketchup, and a few other things. Really gives you a personal feeling.
I also was really impressed with the cruise director on the ship, Matt. I never realized how important a cruise director was until this longer trip. He had the perfect personality for the job and I loved watching him on the TV and live in many of the shows. Overall we were very pleased with our accommodations and extremely pleased the the service and staff.
Make sure you stay tuned for many more articles and photos from our amazing vacation!
We were a guest on the Carnival Breeze, however all opinions are our own.

This sounds like a blast. It has been years since we were on a cruise. I would love to go again and take the kids with us this time. I totally forgot about the towel animals until this post. It is such a great touch.

Makes me want to go on a cruise, sadly I get motion sickness real bad and have never even thought of attempting a cruise. Love the animals, we loved that when we were at Disney too.

I like the dinner arrangement you guys chose. I didn’t realize there was a flexible one like that! You make cruising sound so fun!

I would like to take a family cruise sometime soon. Quinn has less than a month to go until she’s old enough! I like that they have rooms big enough to accommodate larger families.

This cruise sounds wonderful, especially because you had such personal attention. It makes a big difference if the staff caters to you and remembers your choices.

We have been on a fair amount of cruises, all with Carnival, and each time the service was absolutely amazing. I still remember getting to know a few different staff members more in depth since we saw them everyday
