The Decorative Clocksvs The Mirrors is an interesting observation by my husband so many years ago. This is quite a funny little joke between the two of us from a time when it was just the two of us.
When I met my husband I lived in a small one bedroom condo. It had a living room, small dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It was of course perfect for a single woman. Sometime later my husband moved in with me until we later moved to a bigger house to make room for a new member of the family (Buddy). After a few weeks of living together my husband could not get over one very obvious thing (to him at least).
He said to me one day, “Do you know you have a clock in every single room of this house but only one small mirror?” To be honest I hadn’t thought about it, or ever noticed it. I guess the problem was that one small mirror was a medicine cabinet over the bathroom sink. I cabinet in which he had to bend down to see his hair and face and in no way shape or form could he see his over all appearance.
Since that day it has kind of been a joke between us. I still have a clock in every room, whether it be an alarm clock next to my night stand, a timer on my stove, the oversized wall clocks in my living areas, or a small clock on my desk. The difference is we also have a mirror in every bathroom, one over our dresser, a chevelle mirror in the corner and even one just for decoration in our dining room.
Despite the better distribution of The Clocks vs The Mirrors in our home it will forever be a joke between the two of us and he constantly ask me if I would like to purchase a new clock, I mean there isn’t one in the closet.
