Ok I admit, I don't like cleaning, in fact I don't know many people that do. That is why I have someone come in and clean the house at least once a month. This way if I get behind I know it will get caught up (at least once a month). However once a month is not enough to keep our house clean. So I do have to do some spot cleaning and put in a little elbow grease now and then. I hate having tons of cleaners under my sink, one for the bathroom, the toilets, the kitchen, etc. So I am giving CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner a try!
CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner works on plastic, ceramic tile, glass (not mirrors), stainless steel, faucet and shower fixtures, shower doors, fiberglass, toilet bowls, and sink. That is a lot of work for one small bottle of cleaner. Some of the great features are:
CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner Features
- Fast acting and powerful
- Cleans quickly and effectively
- Makes short work of stubborn dirt, calcium, lime, hard water stains and soap scum
- Has the Environmental Protection Agency’s “DfE” (Design for the Environment” designation, meaning its safer chemistry is not harmful to everyone in your home.
I decided to try it out on a few different surfaces and appliances. First a tested it out on my sink, but since my sink wasn't in terrible shape it was hard to see any difference. So since it says stainless steel I gave it a try on my refrigerator. The problem with that is, photos. Have you ever tried to take a photo of a stainless steel fridge and try to capture the dirty fingerprints? It is not easy. However I was impressed with the job. I did have to put in a little extra elbow grease as I do with ANYTHING I use to clean my refrigerator. Then I took my CLR into the bathroom where I knew I would find something worthy of testing it on. Of course I found a small corner in my shower. These photos aren't the best so I tried to highlight them a little for you. The problem is at the end of the day I am in serious need of new grout. However you can see the mildew in the first photo and in the second it is gone, all that is left is some discolored grout.
Just to give you an idea of how CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner sprays on I snapped a photo while I waited the 2-3 minutes for it to do its magic. You can see it is a very thick foam.
I'm always looking for new cleaners and this did not disappoint. To check out what is going on with CLR follow them on Twitter
