My daughter is amazing, she is forever providing me with proud mommy moments. She told me that her and a friend had wrote a book at school. Well actually her friend wrote the book and she illustrated it. Her teacher was making it into a “real” book.
On Valentine’s Day she came home with her book and a “sweet” present from her teacher (a big Hershey Kiss). Her teacher had laminated each page of the book and put it in a plastic folder. At the end she added a biography of my daughter (like in a real book) with a photo.
It isn’t so much the story and the illustrations that amaze me and make me proud but instead the fact that my daughter and her friend chose to do this on their own. This wasn’t an assignment or anything they were asked to do. They decided on their own to write this book and give it to their teacher.

My favorite illustration
My daughters enthusiasm about learning, being creative, and her ability to put herself out their makes me such a proud mama! She definitely reminds me of me when I was a young, and that just makes me smile!

I love this! These are the type of things that I always keep for when they get older. I think it will be something that will be great to show their kids when they have them. I love your daughter’s enthusiasm about learning.

That was precious-kids need to be encouraged to be more creative-and especially in a non-technology way.

I sometimes have to talk to my kids about being minimalists…just doing things as asked to get by in school. So this young lady is an awesome MAXy. 🙂 Going beyond the expectations, kind, sweet…yep, she is gonna go somewhere! And already HAS! You should be so proud!

Your daughter has two rare qualities: Ambition and creativity. May I ask whether she’s in a private or a public school?
