Living in Florida flip flops is a many times the main choice of shoe. To be honest I probably own as many flip flops as I do other shoes put together. When my mother sent me an article about making some fun diy flip flops I just had to show it to Honey. The article found here is from the magazine Family Fun. Just to give it a little more love I will say once again this is a great magazine for mother’s that love to find fun and interesting things to make and bake.
Honey thought the flip flops were cute and wanted to make her own. She didn’t stop there though, she insisted that I have my own pair as well. So Saturday morning (before the water park) we headed down to JoAnn’s to browse through the fabrics and pick out one for our diy flip flops. I decided the first stop would be the fabric remnants, we really didn’t need a lot of fabric and I figured I could get a good deal. Boy did I underestimate the good deal. The fabric Honey picked out cost me a whopping .34 cents. Not only that but all of their flip flops were 60% off. So the total cost of this project to make two pairs of flip flops was…$1.63!
