Even Florida’s local population flock to spend their holidays in Orlando, which tells you all you need to know about the Sunshine State’s most exciting and action packed city.
Orlando is a dream holiday destination. Florida has something for everyone, and by organizing cheap car hire in Orlando you can make sure that you see most of it. Slip behind the wheel and suddenly the whole of Florida opens up to you. It has a fantastic nightlife, as much diverse culture as you would want and superb shopping opportunities. If all that isn’t enough, it is also home to three of the world’s most famous and popular attractions: Disney World, Sea World Orlando, and the Universal Orlando resort, which now features the amazing new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.
These are must-see destinations for any tourist, but it’s not all about Mickey and Donald..
Aside from Hawaii, this is the only US state which boasts a tropical climate. Florida offers sunshine all year around and takes full advantage of it, with a coastline of superb beaches and lush golf courses by the mile. Then there are the famous wet lands. You can see the alligators at Gatorworld – if you dare! – while you would be crazy to come to Florida and leave without dropping in to the amazing Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, just 50 miles from the Orlando by car.
Once you have arranged car hire in Orlando the other major cities in the state are also within easy striking distance. There’s Daytona on the east coast, with its world famous speedway track, and relaxed St Petersburg, the “Sunshine City”, to the west. The glitz and glamour of Miami is right down at Florida’s southern tip, just a morning’s drive from Orlando.
Anyone can bask in the glow of everything that the Sunshine State has to offer. What are you waiting for?

This is one of my dream destinations. I do have a good friend that moved to Satellite Beach and had invited me numerous times, I just can’t take off for 5 days. All my kids are older but still something holds me back from leaving them. I have a fear something will happen to them while I am away
