When renting a home opposed to owning your own there are a few things you have to consider when decorating or putting anything up on your walls. You have to be able to take them down and leave the walls as they were when you moved in. This definitely limits your options when hanging items. My daughter is of the age where she loves to hang posters in her room. In the past we have been using tape to hang them up on her walls but truthfully the tape seems to wear down after a while and they end up falling down. Scotch Restickables has changed that for us. What we love most about the Scotch Restickables is exactly what they say they are restickable. The restickable products stick on both sides of the strip to help conceal.
Honey has been begging me to hang up her Aqua Doodle. I’ve been putting it off because I wasn’t quite sure how to hang it up. I definitely didn’t want to use nails to puncture the fabric. When I found out about Scotch Restickable Strips I figured it was worth a try. They were PERFECT! I was surprised that the strip could hold up the fabric toy but it has yet to fall down.
The Scotch Restickable Strips also came in handy in the bathroom. A month or so ago we purchased some hooks for the bathroom door so Honey could hang her towel and bath robe at her own level. Unfortunately somehow little hands opened up the package and lost the stickable backing that came with the hooks. We used the new Scotch Restickable Strips to hang the hooks up and now Honey can reach her own towel which means she can also hang it up when she is done.
In addition to the strips Scotch has come out with Restickable Mounting Shapes. These are a cute way to hang up your photos and have a little fun at the same time. We made a cute display of Honey’s artwork on the wall using the mounting shapes.
Though the mounting shapes are cute and give your photos some flare when hanging, shortly after we mounted our photos we found two of them on the floor. It is possible because this artwork is on thicker construction type paper it is just too think for the mounting shapes. We tried using them in two different fashions, one was to stick the shapes to the corner of the artwork to secure it to the wall. The second was to hide them all together by placing them on the back of the artwork. Neither one did the trick for us. However that is ok we actually LOVE the mounting shapes but for a different purpose. We found that they are a great addition to the actual artwork. Below is a video of Honey demonstrating what she used the restickable mounting shapes for.
