At the beginning of this year, my husband and I started a friendly little family game called “The Great Deflation”. With both of us being overweight (obese by definition), we decided that with the new baby being three months old, we’d begin our quest to shed a few (or more!) pounds.
I was very fortunate when I ran across the opportunity to review a Fitbug. What I love about this gadget and program is that when starting out, the website allows you to answer indepth questions about your health and family history. For me, I just had a baby, and I am breastfeeding, and I was able to add these two points into the calculation!
Obviously, I have a long way to go:
Your weight falls into the obese category with a BMI of 40.2. Being obese significantly increases your risk of developing chronic disease such as high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. In addition obesity can cause problems with breathing and sleeping, as well as joint and back pain. It is important for you to focus on reducing your weight through a healthy eating plan and an increase in your level of physical activity. Fitbug will advise you on the correct number of calories to help you achieve a healthy weight loss, and will advise you on how to achieve a healthy balanced diet.
Although I need to lose more than just baby weight, I figured that its a good start considering I’m nursing.
So that we can help you to achieve your goal to lose baby weight, we’ve placed you on the Baby2Body Post Natal journey. Each week we’ll be sending you personalised nutrition and activity targets which will help you to achieve this.
Because I am breastfeeding, the Fitbug has recommended that I follow an 1800 calories per day intake plan. I love that I am able to add what I’ve eaten to the software, and the calories are automatically calculated for me.
One of my favorite Fitbug features is the built in pedometer! You clip the Bug on your pants and put it in your pocket. Upon setup, you can add in your stride length to help it better measure your steps. Because of being sick, I’ve not have very many high energy days (which is about to change), so I’ve not even been close to reaching the recommended 10,000 steps per day due to being on medication and scaled back to about half on the physical activity level.
I am a visual person, so it’s also great to be able to view a graph of my weight fluctuation anytime I’d like. (Numbers omitted on the left side for you, of course!)
Overall, the options available with the Fitbug are fantastic, because you’re not just limited to tracking your movement and calorie intake! This tiny little device (not much bigger than your car clicker/keyless entry remote) keeps track of much more (including sections not covered in this review), and the custom online coaching service offers you all of the benefits of a private coach or trainer all online for a very low price.
Right now, you can take advantage of this awesome Fitbug offer:
- 1 Unique Fitbug Tracking Device
- 2 Year Online Coaching Service Membership
- Low Price – $49.99
This is a great deal, considering a 1 year membership with the bug is $89.99, and most people tend to spend $500 a year on gym membership that doesn’t even include personal coaching! I am so impressed that I am ordering my husband his very own Fitbug and 2 year membership. The Fitbug program is worth every penny at full price, and with the low offer, now is a great time to get up and get moving!
