Every year in April my grandfather comes to Florida for a month. Since my sister and I rarely get to Michigan to visit he makes a point of stopping by (a 3 1/2 hour drive out of his way) to spend a day with us. Usually we have dinner after work but this year we managed a weekend and had lunch at my sisters house. My only living grandfather is from my fathers side. The one I just posted about last week that passed in 2008.
We shared stores of what was going on, and some fun personality traits of my father. The weather was beautiful though a little windy. The pool was very cold due to a previous bout of rain. That didn’t stop the children and my sisters husband from getting in and playing a little pool basketball. Before my grandfather took off we managed to get a few photos of everyone and I thought I would share.
This photo is four generations, though my mother is not blood to my grandfather she is our blood and represented the generation in between my sister and I and my grandfather.
Pictured here from left to right, Honey, Me, Nick, my mother, my grandfather (great grandpa), Buddy, my sister, and her son.

My self, my mother, and my sister.
Last but not least me and my wonderful husband
It was a relaxing Sunday afternoon full of family and good times. I wish with all my heart my father could have been there with us, but maybe he was when we saw a butterfly flutter over our heads. I didn’t catch a glimpse of it maybe it was the purple butterfly.
