Toothpaste ingredients is not usually something one would ponder when thinking of keeping their kids healthy. However if you prefer your children to use all natural products that you should check out Tom’s of Maine “Silly Strawberry”. Tom’s of Maine Anticavity Silly Strawberry toothpaste is the first and only natural kids’ toothpaste to earn the American Dental Association’s Seal of Acceptance for cavity prevention.
As a mother the idea of an all natural toothpaste sounds like the better choice. Tom’s of Maine “Silly Strawberry” toothpaste has no artificial dyes or sweeteners. Unfortunately my daughter did not agree, she was not thrilled with the taste. However she is very attached to her bubble gum flavor. I really think it was more of a mental thing with the toothpaste being white. I do think this is a great toothpaste and if begun at a young age when your child has nothing to compare too it could become a normal part of your hygiene routine.
Tom’s of Maine is holding a special event and you are invitied. On March 14, 2012 at 7:30pm EST you can tune in for a special reading of It’s A Big World, Little Pig by Kristi Yamaguchi. You will be able to ask Kristi questions live or on Facebook prior to the chat. If you participate you will have a chance to receive a free sample of “Silly Strawberry” toothpaste and a copy of Kristi’s new book.
In addition to the chance above you can register for a free sample while supplies last. A free sample is a great way to let your kids see if they are interested in making the switch.
Since we are talking about “Silly Strawberries” I thought it would be fun to share some silly strawberry facts!
- There are about 200 seeds on the outside of each strawberry (I wonder who had to sit and count them all to get this fact)
- If you line up all the strawberries grown in California in one straight line, they would wrap around the whole Earth 15 times! (now that is a lot of strawberries)
- One acre of land grows about 50,000 pounds of strawberries – that’s the same weight as 4 elephants!
