Bumble Bee tuna is the ONLY tuna I will purchase even if another is on sale. I just prefer the flavor. So I love that Bumble Bee is helping others in a way beyond their healthy products. With BeeWell For Life. You can help others while helping yourself.
How you might ask? Well let me tell you a little thing about “getting fit”. Yes I’m talking once again about health and fitness. When I said 2012 was the year of Health for the Shibley’s I had no idea how much help I would get from outside influences. Look for many topics on health and fitness from product reviews to ambassador programs here to come at Shibley Smiles.
Today I want to talk about a fun program from Bumble Bee called BeeWell for Life. BeeWell for Life is a health and wellness community that earns donations to help lead the fight against breast cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. By registering for this program and logging your fitness accomplishments, calories, and completing some challenges you can get fit and donate to charity.
This year, Bumble Bee Foods has selected the American Diabetes Association®, WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, and Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization as charity partners. I have registered myself and selected to donate to the American Diabetes Association® and Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization due to some personal family experiences.
It was a piece of cake to register I simply logged in with my Facebook account. I chose my charities and within a couple minutes logged my 15 minute walk this morning, my calories from breakfast, and completed one challenge. My current balance for all that is $1.97. For each point you earn, Bumble Bee will donate $0.10 to the cause of your choice (up to $12,500 per month). I really love the challenges that are randomly offered to you such as
- Sleep Better: Get 8 hours of sleep or more at least one night this week.
- Fruit for Dessert: Eat fruit for dessert.
- Crunch Time: Crunch time! Do 10 sit ups on at least three days this week.
I encourage you to follow @BeeWellforLife on Twitter and register to get fit and help a charity at the same time! Make 2012 the year of Health for your family too!
