Do you wear glasses or contacts? I started wearing glasses shortly out of high school. I never had a problem until I started working full time with computers. My first pair of glasses in 1993 were $250. Definitely not what I would call cheap glasses.
As you can see they were really not very flattering eyeglasses and by the price I paid I wouldn’t consider them discount glasses either. I don’t even know if in 1993 there was an option to buy glasses online, maybe if there was I could have gotten a better deal or even some cheap designer glasses. Anything better then these WAY to big and overpriced pair.
After about a year and a half I decided to give contacts a try so I wouldn’t need to buy glasses any more. However after a year of trying the contacts I found that they really didn’t work for me either. They irritated my eyes and they were just a pain to put in and maintain. So I went back to glasses, however the next time I found a more flattering frame, or I guess no frames really.
When I was pregnant with Honey my glasses broke, I went to the doctor to have them replaced and then shortly after having Honey that pair broke as well. After that I decided NOT to purchase glasses or contacts and try to see if I could get by with out them. I did so for about 4 years and my vision actually seemed to improve quite a lot to the point I didn’t feel I needed them.
However just this past year when my work added vision insurance to our plan I decided to have my eyes checked. They had been bothering me off and on at work. This time before I purchased any glasses from the doctor I wanted to look online first. One website I recently came upon was GlassesUSA.com where you can buy fashion glasses and cheap prescription sunglasses. I found that it is better to bargain shop for glasses as the prices vary so much from doctor’s office to discount retailers.
GlassesUSA offers designer glasses as a very reasonable price. Designers such as Ray Ban, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess and more all for as little as$40. I’ve never been a real “brand” type of person, I never purchase something because of the brand name. However for prices such as $50 for these glasses, you can’t pass up the opportunity to purchase such a great pair of glasses at GlassesUSA
It turned out after my appointment the doctor did indeed feel a pair of glasses would be of benefit to me. This time since I was able to buy glasses frames online and because of the great discounts you can find online I now own two pairs of glasses. You know in case one pair happens breaks.
In edition to the already very low discounts at GlassUSA.com they are offering all my readers and additional 10% discount.

The ones you have now really do look great! My dilemma is the opposite of yours…the first pair of glasses you had would look good on me, and the newer types and no frames are too small for my face, so they look really odd. I don’t care for contacts much (they seem to dry out a lot and take a lot of care), and I hate the way glasses look on me (they really are atrocious), so I just keep glasses in the car for night driving and go without in the day time. I’ve considered Lasik, but am too chicken (and maybe now too old), so what to do…
All of that is an aside though, I really just wanted to tell you the glasses you have now look fantastic on you.

Thank you for the compliment. My second pair are black and pink and I use them mainly for my car. But I love the frameless ones the best.
