Remember the days when you wanted to talk to family afar but you couldn’t do it very often due to long distance? Or when you would write to your pen pal and actually mail a letter? Wow I can’t remember the last time I thought of something as a long distance call or wrote a letter and mailed it. These days we stay in touch with family and friends in different ways. Gone are the days of snail mail and long distance calls.
My preferred way to stay in touch with my family and friends is my. With a cell phone you can stay in touch in so many ways from a call, a text message, or email all right from your cell phone. I remember years ago when I got my first iPhone, my husband rolled his eyes at me and said, “A phone is just to make calls”. He stuck to that view for quite a while. Today he can’t wait until July so he can upgrade his iPhone 4 to the newest model.
In addition to our cell phones we are very much a tablet family with 4 of them in our house. They are great for looking up just about anything with your feet up, reclining in your chair, and NOT stuck in front of a computer. I can definitely see my hubby checking all the March Madness scores and information to see where he is in the bracket standings.
