If you have a child then I’m sure you’ve tried to feed them something they don’t like. My daughter was an easy baby. She loved almost everything from watermelon to corn, from apples to spaghetti (which she called eat-eat), and still does today. Though looking back she definitely wasn’t the neatest eater.

It was the oldest son that provided us with food mishaps and humor. My first son was the worst eater and didn’t like much. He was notorious for shaking his head at most foods we tried to feed him. So I resorted to other methods of convincing him to eat, similar to this hilarious video below in which one mother convinces her children they are drinking coffee.
I took the advice of one doctor and pureed some vegetables and filled up an ice cube tray. The point of this was the next time I was making a meal for my son I was suppose to put the ice cube in the meal and it would easily mix up and he would know, no difference. I decided to give it a try with one of his favorites mac n’ cheese. I was so proud of myself. I thought this is going to get him to eat his veggies. Little did I know how sensitive my son really was. He began eating the meal like it was just another meal, however half way through the meal I guess he realized something was off. Lets just say I needed a bath more then him after that dinner.
From that day forward we purchased 3-4 different foods and he ate them for every meal. I was much happier with him eating food and me not wearing it. To this day my son is still one of the pickiest eaters I’ve ever seen. He can detect any hint of difference. He likes one brand of hot dog and rarely will eat anything but that brand. He puts ketchup on everything but yet I remember one meal when we were on vacation when he wouldn’t finish his meal because the ketchup “tasted funny”. My guess is it was a different brand.
