The family and I went to Orlando for the weekend for a quickie vacation. A friend of my husband has a time share and invited us up. We left Friday after work. The drive up was uneventful except for the fact that my husband tried to freeze us to death. Do to the window foggy up he kept the window cracked. If you looked in the back seat there were three children bundled to the tops of their heads in blankets. Unfortunately for me I did not have one so by the time we got their I swear I could not feel my fingers.
I can not believe the difference in the weather driving just three hours north. I shouldn’t complain as we were still in Florida but I must say I was pretty cold the majority of the time I was there. Goes to show you just how thin my blood is from living in Florida most of my life.
Hubby went golfing Saturday while the kids and I lazed around before our visit with LeeAnn over at The Life of Rylie…and Bryce too! If you were not aware from any previous post LeeAnn and I have actually been friends since high school.
We decided to go to Wonder Works. The kids said they had a really good time. I left my darn camera in the car so my photos are all via my phone. LeeAnn may have some good photos so you may want to hop on over and see if she post any.We got to experience hurricane winds, a terrible impression of an earthquake, we played mind ball and some other interesting exhibits.
Honey and Rylie were totally adorable together. Honey couldn’t wait to see her. She brought her a cute little watch as a gift. Honey LOVED the 4D Movie Theater Adventure Ride. It was one of those things where you sit and have 3D glasses on and watch a large screen in front of you, while your seats move and shake. I was worried she would be afraid but she was laughing the whole time and really enjoyed it.
We made the mistake of leaving too late to get their. I have to say of all the smaller attractions in Orlando Wonder Works is a great bang for your buck. There is so much to do, you can literally spend the whole day inside the upside down house!
We didn’t get to visit nearly enough with LeeAnn and her family and Wonderworks didn’t give us much of a chance to really hang out so next round we are going to have to do a little better upfront planning and figure out a good place where the kids can play while the mommies can talk.
We did manage to visit the Nike and Reebok outlet before we headed home Sunday and each of us got a new pair of shoes. We purchased 5 pairs of shoes for $133, which isn’t to bad considering they were Reebok and Nike. Here is Honey’s cute shoes she picked out. The girl is very picky so it is amazing she found any she liked at all. They aren’t the sketchers she likes but they are pretty darn cute!
The weekend flew by and I can’t believe it is Monday already. This may prove to be a long week! Well I shouldn’t complain too much I do have Friday off, but it will be used to take Honey to the dentist and Nick to get his braces on.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I didn't know you were IRL friends! That's really cool! I can see where you didn't get much talk time in there though, but I'm betting the kids had a blast!

Wait a minute…that earthquake didn't scare you? haha It was so great to see you guys and hang out, but yeah, next time we need to do less running around and more chatting. 🙂 I'm thinking the beach would be a perfect place for that! Rylie is already asking when she can play with Ericka again.
Happy Valentine's Day! Have a great week!
