In the past couple of years I’ve gained quite a lot of weight. It all began when we started looking for a house and I poured myself into blogging to help obtain that goal. Now that we have had our home for 2 1/2 years and I’ve cut down on blogging I’m dealing with the aftermath. I often find myself tired and out of energy. My motivation to do things isn’t what it use to be. I’ve decided that I need to break this cycle, and change my habits. I was recently introduced to an interesting source to help me do just that, the HelloMind App.
HelloMind is an RHD App or Result Driven Hypnosis. I am a very open minded person and believe that hypnosis has it’s place in health care and can often me a resource for some. With this belief I was very interested in testing this app. After downloading the app I was first asked what it was I need help with.
HelloMind Areas of Help
- Quick Fixes
As you can see there are a lot of areas HelloMind can help you with. Even though anxiety and motivation were high on my list, I honestly believe both of these are a result of my weight gain. So I decided to chose weight loss as my main goal. After selecting weight my choices were even further narrowed down.
- Get enough exercise
- Eat fewer sweets
- Eat less unhealthy food
- Gain weight
This was a tough choice because the first four were definitely all goals. However I decided that what I really needed to concentrate on what eating less unhealthy food. I was surprised to find again a list of choices to choose from. Some of the selections were drink less soda, eat less junk food, get a healthier lifestyle and more. As you can see your amount of choices and session is huge! Since junk food is my vice I selected the eat less junk food. This selection consists of 10 different sessions of 40 minutes each.
It is recommended that you find a quiet place where you will have no interruptions and place your phone on airplane mode. If you are interrupted it is suggested that you start over. I can attest that if your phone interrupts you, you will not be able to restart the session where you left off and will have to start over. I had an alarm go off while I was listening and it stopped the session in it’s tracks. You really should also use headphones as it drowns out the sounds around you.
This was my first time every listening to a true hypnosis session and I wasn’t sure what to expect. At first I was really listening to what the speaker was saying but I found if I tried to make sense or think too much about what was being said I wasn’t really understanding. I soon realized that the tone and words are used to relax and get you in the hypnotic state. So I instead relaxed and went with the flow.
After my first session I felt very relaxed and I wasn’t sure if I had fallen asleep or what exactly had happened. I do know that I felt relaxed and that was amazing as I feel that I’m always wired and have a hard time really relaxing. I found that each session I felt the same way, relaxed and not sure if I had fallen asleep or if I was getting the benefits of the hypnosis.
I want to say that they helped, unfortunately my biggest issue has been finding the alone time to listen on a regular basis. It is recommended that you listen to a session each day or every other day and complete within a 30 day window. There are different types of sessions. You can select ones like I mention here which are usually 10 sessions that each last 30 to 40 minutes. They also have boosters which are individual sessions that last about 25 minutes.
Wanting to see what these boosters were all about I decided one Friday evening to try a motivation session as I often find myself just wanting to sit around on the weekends due to my lack of motivation. The motivation session I choose said there 10 variants of the session which is great. This means you can select these boosters over and over again and get different sessions. I tried the session and when I woke up Saturday morning I was full of energy to get things done. It was a very refreshing feeling and I personally feel my hypnosis session helped.
Just recently HelloMind has added another form of session called Quick Fixes. These are 5 minute sessions when you only have a small amount of time but want to relax or continue with your progress. I am excited to give these a try but am really looking to carve out the 30-40 minutes a day I need to work on the full blown sessions.
HelloMind is free to try. Once downloaded you will receive one Booster and Quick Fix free. After your free sessions you can purchase a treatment or Booster for $8.99 or (and I highly recommend) for $12.99 a month you have access to all treatments, boosters, and quick fixes. If you will be using more than one treatment a month this is definitely the way to go. Even if you plan on doing one treatment a month having access to the boosters and quick fixes in between your treatments is a great advantage.
Whether you need help with stress, weight, anxiety, or more HelloMind is a great resource to have in your pocket. If anything the relaxing feeling you get after a session is amazing and has many benefits to help keeping you balanced. I highly recommend the app and am excited about exploring many more treatments in the months to come!
