The Shibley Smiles recently attended a family slumber party at The Hilton Garden Inn. Yes I said slumber party! What a fun and relaxing way to spend dinner with everyone decked out in their jammies!
Our invitation to the Hilton Garden Inn was a family adventure sure to be enjoyed by all. We arrived in just enough time to check in, change into our jammies, and high tail it down to the party decked out in our sleepwear. I was excited to be in attendance with some of my friends. Pictured here is LeeAnn from The Life of Rylie…and Bryce too! and Xenia from Thanks Mail Carrier. Gotta love the polka dots!
Once we settled in we were treated to our dinner buffet in true party style with our choice of hamburgers, hotdogs, or chicken strips in one of Hilton Garden Inn‘s spacious meeting rooms.. It was no question my kiddos went straight for the chicken strips while my husband and I enjoyed a burger.
After our dinner the kids relaxed in bean bag chairs to watch a movie while the adults tried to sneak away, got to know each other and relish in the fact that the kids were entertained while we did what we do best TALK! We had a short intermission to enjoy a “make it yourself” ice cream sundae bar equipped with ice cream, toppings, popcorn, soft pretzels, and chips.
The kids had a great time with belly’s full from dinner and snacks galore. They were interviewed and jumped from bean bag to bean bag loving the fact that the adults were busy conversing while they got a chance to be kids!
After our get together meeting the friendly representatives that were gracious enough to invite us and getting to know our fellow bloggers we headed back upstairs to unpack and unwind. My husband enjoyed a little TV and internet time while I took the kids down to enjoy a little splash time in the hotel pool. I noticed the Jacuzzi and thought about running upstairs to get my own suit on but the kids were already in the pool before door swung closed.
This was just the beginning to our relaxing yet adventurous weekend. Look for up coming post about our trip to Sea World, Wonder Works, and watch out for a great giveaway from Hilton Garden Inn to plan your own family fun getaway!
