Tomorrow is the first day of March. Not a special day really, but the 21st day of March definitely is. What day is that you might ask? Thankfully my husband is NOT one of those men that forget important dates. He reminds me each year that it is the first day of spring. Yep each year as it approaches he will tell me, “March 21st is almost here the first day of spring!” Of course HE KNOWS it is my birthday.
So the question is what to get this spring chick (age is of no matter it is a state of mind) for her birthday. Without a doubt one thing that I’ve always wanted was a spa break. Not just any spa break. I want the full day, mud on my face, rub downed, painted toes, relaxing kind of spa break. I want to be pampered and not have to lift a finger. I want to come away feeling like the weight of the world has been lifted and my skin is aglow. So my hint to my hubby of course is three words “spa gift vouchers“. Really a man can’t go wrong with a gift like that can he ladies?
To hubby: Imagine how awesome you will feel knowing that you have given me such a gift. No chance of me returning it or complaining it is too long, the wrong color, or the wrong size. No need to scour the stores looking for that perfect gift to WOW me. I’m giving you the perfect and easy out right here, no thinking required.
So tell me ladies what do you think the BEST part of a spa day would be? Of course any day with total relaxation and no demanding little people, or whiny voices is a good one, but I would look forward most to the massage!!! How about you?

There is a spa close to my home that does a "Have Your Cake and Eat it Too" treatment, with flavorful lotions and potions and scrubs that sound absolutely delicious and feel wonderful.
My husband did indulge me for my birthday a few years ago and it was magnificent. My favorite was the chocolate body mask with coconut cream frosting scrub. (Heaven!)
Good Self Care I tell ya! I hope your birthday spa day wish is granted!

I think that the best part would be taking your Mom with you for your spa day, just a reward for 26 hours of labor. LOL
Love ya, MOM
