You may have read about the Halloween costumes the boys picked out over on this post. I have yet to share with you Honey’s costume. That would be because we were waiting for Honey’s costume to arrive. Honey could not wait to get her Halloween costume. When I say she couldn’t wait I mean each and every day she asked me. “Is my Halloween costume going to come today?” She has not yet grasped the concept that when you order something it doesn’t turn up on your door step the very next day. I’m thinking maybe internet shopping is not going to be her favorite past time she seems more of a instant gratification kind of girl.
We spent one evening scrolling through pages of costumes at Costume Super Center looking at all the costumes for girls. My once tomboyish daughter is not really so much anymore. She loves princesses, fairies, makeup, and a lot of other girly things. Her final choice was this adorable Bratz Magic Geni Child costume.
I think she looks absolutely beautiful and so cute. Though her daddy agrees he did not like the fact that one of the things she loved about the costume was how it showed off her belly. Yes she is only 5 and already she loves to show her belly. I always wondered if that was a Florida thing? When she tried the costume on she was so cute. I wish I had a video camera on hand when she did. She started shaking her hips trying to imitate a belly dancer because she loves to hear the coins jiggle!
I have to say as a mother I’m relieved that it is only just the beginning of September and my Halloween shopping is finished. Well for the children at least. I hear the accounting department at work is trying to think of a fun and unique group costume once again this year. Two years back we went as a dozen donuts with our CFO as the Dunkin Donuts guy. I myself was a french curller that turned out pretty cute if I say so myself. I will have to look for that photo.
